I have currently been going back and forth with a "lottery" in the UK. I'm suposed to send them the sum of $500.00 US to cover insurace and what not. I recieved an email saying that i have won the UK lottery the sum that i won was about 200,000 pounds or about $500,000 US. I am very skeptical of everything. I'm not sure if this is for real or a scam. I got one email from Dr Williams Parker ([email protected]) and then i was told to contact [email protected] for more information of how to recieve payment and what not. I am told to send the money to a Mrs Rose peterson at Unit 11, Ashford Industrial Estate, TW15 1AU, London, united Kingdom. I need to know if this is a scam. I'm lead to believe that it isn't they sent me a scanned copy of his passport and a scanned copy of the certificate of my "winnings". please help me find out if this is a scam or not. I can not afford to waste the money if it is a scam

Postal Inspectors sent a Declaration of Non-Mailability to the Postal Service’s Law Department and, on July 13, 2005, the U.S. Postal Service’s Chief Counsel for Customer Protection issued a Determination of Non-Mailability. A mail destruction order in September 2005 directed that the mail be destroyed after the mailer failed to respond within the specified 45-day period. Postal Inspectors anticipated that more than 227,000 additional pieces of seized mail, on hold at the Carson International Mail Center, would also be destroyed. The amount of illegal lottery mail seized and held in Los Angeles in FY 2005 totaled approximately 358,000 pieces

My wife recieved a notification from Haplan Data Services Locked Bag 32 Bundall, QLD 4217, Australia. Stating she's a grand slam winner and to send Rs.500/-
in another envelope which was enclosed along with the envelope declaring the winning of the "Guaranteed Indian Thunderball Winning Number Allocation Program"
From looking at this site, it appears to be a scam. I think the persons behind this should be identified and under the course of law...
Wondering how many people would have lost money in such scams...
