My friend Kim received this same letter last night(07/12/06). The one with a check for $2996.60, same agent and all. She was so excited and came over to my house. I was happy for her. Inside I had this gut feeling something was wrong, especially when I noticed Authorization was spelled incorrectly. The wording of the letter was awful too. I cannot believe this scam. I feel really bad for everyone but especially the ones who actually wired the funds back. The scam is instead of them cashing the check they are having innocent people cash these checks and hand the cash right over to them. It's like taking candy from a baby. I am now in the process of trying to call and inform my friend, since I know she was on her way to cash this check with a local Check Casher's, that had verified the check earlier today. She is going to pass out when I tell her what I have discovered!

i received a "winning certificate" on july 12, 2006. i called the lady..."LISA SPENCER" @ 1-204-951-8326. address 11834 KINGSWAY, SUITE 302, EDMONTON, AB T5G 3J5. the number is to a cell phone, first of all. second, the address is to a hotel ramada?! however, i did not look up the info until after i went to my bank and was told that the check was a fraud. the check that i received is from FOUR SEASONS SOLAR PRODUCTIONS,LLC. IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE LOCATED @ 5005 VETERANS MEMORIAL HIGHWAY HOLBROOK, NY, 11741. THE CHECK WAS FOR $2,996.90. I called the number and spoke to the assumed "lisa spencer" she told me to deposite the check in my bank account and wire the said amount of 2,849.50 to ALEX WHINNER 229 YOUNG ST SUITE 104 TORONTO, ONTARIO N5B9X1 CALL INTERPOOL, FBI, TELL THEM THAT THESE PEOPLE ARE LAUNDERING MONEY. IT COULD BE FOR A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION IF YOU SAY THAT THE GOV WILL TAKE THEM DOWN FAST. PUT THEM IN GITMO WHERE THEY BELONG. IF THEY'RE NOT; THEY'LL LEARN THERE LESSONS. DO NOT F*** WITH THE AMERICANS! AND PEOPLE DON'T BE EMBARRESSED YOU ALMOST GOT SCAMED SO DID I! NOW I GOT TO CALL MY GRAMA AND TELL HER I DIDN'T WIN THE LOTTO. TALK TO YOUR ATTRY GEN. FBI, AND INTERPOOL. DON'T EVEN TRY TO CASH THE CHECKS. THEY ARE FAKE! I DON'T LIKE TO SEE GOOD AMERICANS GET GOT. PLEASE TELL IF YOU HAVE BEEN A VICTIM OF THIS FRAUD. I received a check today as well for $2,996.90. I am glad there are people that stick together to inform others of bad things that can happen. Please Please pass to word on to friends and family members to get the word around about this scam. I hope whoever this is doing this scam is brought to justice.

I recently recieved a check and a certificate of award stating that I was one of seventeen people who won $85,000 dollars a piece. this was from Bonanza 2000( Australian International Lotto). I would really like to know if this is real or not. I've been trying to get in touch with the company but can't seem to reach anyone. Please let me know something... I have a check for $2,000 dollars..

Amanda: If you need to find something fast on the internet, go to a search engine called "DOGPILE" THE Web ADDRESS IS : http://www.dogpile.com I typed in "Irish random lotto" and this site was #1 on the long list. DOGPILE has never failed me. My college professor gave me the address to DOGPILE in 2004.

I need to thank all of you who reported that you received the Irish Random Lotto "Letter of Dreams & Hopes Destroyed". My gut told me that it is a FRAUD, but the thought of well needed money wouldn't leave my mind. At first I searched snopes.com. They revealed several similiar scams. But to me, this one was different because they sent me a check. Thank God I continued searching & came to this site!!! I wrote down all of the information from all of you & will be calling the proper authorities tomorrow. My heart goes out to all of you who took a loss---try not to be hard on yourself, its not like you went out looking for trouble. These con artists are absolutely disgusting F@!*'IN BAST^*%'S & need to be stopped!

MOST OF US NOW KNOW THAT THIS IS A SCAM. SO THOSE THAT DO NOT BELEIVE THE CHECKS ARE COUNTERFEIT, JUST LOOK AT 1 OF YOUR OWN CHECKS AND LOOK AT THE ROUTING #'S. THE 1ST #'S ON A LEGIT CHECK IS THE ROUTING #, THEN THE ACCOUNT # AND LAST, THE CHECK #. IF YOU LOOK AT SOME OF THESE COUNTERFEIT CHECKS, THEY HAVE THE CHECK # 1ST ALONG WITH SOME ZERO'S, THEN THE ROUTING #'S AND THE ACCOUNT # LAST. NO LEGITIMATE CHECK HAS THE #'S IN THAT ORDER. SO TO THOSE THAT WANT TO BELIEVE THE CHECKS ARE REAL BECAUSE THEY HAVE A WATERMARK OR SOMETHING. JUST CHECK THE #'S AT THE VERY BOTTOM OF THE COUNTERFEIT CHECK. GOOD LUCK ALL.
