I rec'd a letter from 2006 North-American Sweepstakes Lottery held on March 28th, 2006 in the 2nd category, and that I won $250,000. I also rec'd a check with the letter for $4,975.00. I was a little excited but skeptical. The envelope only had my address!! I called the number on the letter for David Watkins 705-770-1914, and a voicemail picked up. It was a man with an accent?!? I won't be cashing it and i will be turning it into my post office. I've read a couple of msg's and it looks like that is were they are all going. If there is another location these should be sent to for further action against these scammers please let me know!!

Okay- I am so MAD! I actually fell for this one! I am so glad that I found this link and read what wveryone is saying. Mine is from OLGC- Northern Trust Company Bank. I am going to contact my local police department, FBI, and sue the heck out of them. I feel if enough of us pull together on this one something could be done. EXP- for the ones that did take it to the bank and now are in finacial burdens. What a shame that someone can be so MEAN! Stick together everyone we could end up on the winning in the end after all. Serves them right!

i recieved a letter from BRITISH GAMING COMISSION
Enclosed was a fony check for $2992.57. I called the number, (in Canada) 1-403-667-9175. She told me to deposit he check, call back when it cleared. Seems to easy, right? Then , afterm paying $2829 in fees (these numbers aren't even the same amnt!!) i iwll get $80,199!!!
Well, the check is witted by a company NEVAMAR COMPANY, LLC, Portland Maine 04101. When i searched on line for NEVAMAR, they are avenir co in NC, not ME. And that adress is for a temp agency in Maine. They claim to be BRITISH LOTTO, check that on line...scam! Very suspicious,, they say to keep from public notice! The check is drawn from FLEET BANK, which isn't even aorund any monre (htey are now bank of maerica), and the bank's adress is lacking on the check.
Bring ALL to the post office.
If you cash this check, the bank will put $ into your accnt, you ll send to them, then, bank will realize weeks later it is not a good check and that $ will be taken from your accnt.

International gambling is ILLEGAL!!

i recieved a notice letter saying that i won as a grand slam winner from the complete philippines super lotto number program..but the prize havn't stated..
the letter stated that to claim the grand slum number allocation return the form and P. 500 Cash to locked bag 32, bundall, QLD 4217 AUSTRALIA..
is it true or it is just a scam?

I received a check in the mail for $1989.00. It states in the letter that came with it that I am one of the winners of the 1006 merchant point of sale Prize Pool Lottery held on 08/01/2006 for an amount of $57,775.00. They want me to send them a money-gram from Wal-Mart for $1617.70 as a processing fee. When they receive this money-gram they are to send the rest of the money by FedEx. My bank took the $1989.00 check they sent me. Can any one tell me if this is a scam?

I recieved a SWISS LOTTO CERTIFICATE OF AWARD saying i was a winner of the NOrth American Sweepstake for $86,000 they sent me a ceck for $2100.50 deposit the check once the money clears call them and they will give me instructions to mooney gram it to my agent and then recieve my check within 2 business days by FEDEX FOR THE $86,000 MINUS $6020.00 FOR SPONSER COMMISSIONS i had to call A Alfred Muller/Mary Hiestand of Cowell Baker a Subsidiary of UNITED TRUST CORPORATION, 145 SOUTHLAND DR S.E. SUITE 121 HUBBARDS, NS BOJ 1T0 NOVASCOTIA TEL 780-695-3820 I am assuming this is the same type of scam you all received from reading the post. I am glad i looked into this because it sounded to good to be true

I received a certificate of award from the Omega British Lottery saying I had won $100,000. I was to cash the enclosed check for $2940 and western union the money to an address in Canada. The check looked legit. I called the US Bank and asked if it was a legitimate account. It was, but that this check was counterfeit and not to cash it. There is a Nigerian scam going on right now.

For all of you who have recieved the OLGC notification and check... Mine has the same claim # and serial #'s as some of you listed. If you look at the check carefully, Massachusetts is spelled wrong. Also, this letter was recieved at an address that I have not lived at in over 2 years and it was addressed to my maiden name. I definitly feel that this is fraud. Although, I'm planning on calling the number just to see what they say.
