I receive a letter from W4A system informing me that i've won $ 40,000, but they ask for my credit card for such a payment. Anybody can help if this a real thing?

I just got a letter via post that I won a certain amount and I need to fill-up the form in order to claim the prize from the following:
1. W4A so called Director John Down
2. Euro Millions Prize manifest
3. European Lottery Guild.
What i should do with this? I know it is a scam but I just want to make sure.

we have a received a letter for my sister from Netherlands saying that she have won 40, 000 US Dollars..is this for real or just a scam?here is the P.O. Box no. -208 5690 AE Son The Netherlands..this letter was from Mr. John Down and it was stated that he was the director of the w4a..i want ur response right away :)

I also received the same letter. I want it to be true! But after reading your comments I guess it is not! I just hope they will find the voice of their inner self telling them to stop! I even had my hopes up!
I will still try it though but without money and credit card information just to see if it is true!

I got three letters from this lottery thing. one addressed from singapore and the other two from the netherlands... These letters say that i won $20,000 and 40,000.... i'm quite apprehensive about this because i do not remember anything about joining any of these.

don't dare sending them your credit card number or any of your bank details...because if you do, you're just giving those scammers the opportunity to steal from your hard earned money...you are authorizing them to withdraw from your account...that's awful...
