I also received the Bonanza 2000 letter with a check for 2997.55. I figured it was a scam, but I called the Canadian # on a prepaid cell phone, The lady tried to get info from me which I did not give. Then when she started to tell me to deposit the check, I interrupted her and said, yea right, then I take the money and wire it to you. I started laughing really hard and told her to scam this. She hung up on me and when I tried calling back on the same phone a recording came on saying the # is not available. The winning #'s for the scam lottery is 21-27-8-15-34. The same #'s other people rec'd. The bank which the check is drawn, is Bank of America in Los Angeles, Ca. If I was a crook, I would go to Bank and cash not deposit check and spend the money. The Bank would have to get paid back in nibblets because I would not have the money to pay back. Big Scam everyone. Don't fall for it.

Hi, I just got my check for $2,998.55 and a letter to contact Lisa Richardson of Kingsway Financiers, 294 Maplewood Ave. Suite 202, Winnipeg MB R3L 1A7 Tel:204-951-3684. Since I don't believe in cash freely falling in my lap from lotteries I never entered, I started a computer search and came up with this site. I imagine the address is bogus and police will have little success getting these people cornered so we will have to counter this by letting the world know how damaging something like this can be to "hopeful" people.
By the way my prize amount was also $85,500.00 less the $5,301.00 sponsor's commission. One of the dead giveaways in the letter was the misspellings and the poor grammar. I plan to contact the attorney General in California and local news sources to alert people about the scam. Good luck and thanks for getting this information out on the internet.

Whata bunch of bull! First of all, you must be very careful when someone sends documentation stating you,ve won money. These oeople are only after your bank number to draw funds out of them. My bank will tell you if its a fraudulent company, and if they try to go into my account, the bank will stop any suspicious characters. Everyone! be careful don,t trust any of these checks.

I received the check too and I brought it to the bank and they said it is a legitimate check but be cautious in cashing it because there could be conditions. I wnat to know what will happen if I cash this check at the issuing bank? Can anyone tell me?

I received a letter from Bonanza 2000 Austrailian international lotto certificate of award letter...advising me that I was one of the winners of a huge amount of money,(BS) also enclosed in the envelope was a fake check for almost 3,000.00 ...drawn on JP Morgan Chase Bank N.A.,in Syracuse NY--Also at top of check was the name NYT Capital, inc. World Trade Center, 101 west main st., Ste 2000, Norfolk, VA 23510..certain words were spelled wrong in the awards letter..financial was spelled finantial, authorization was spelled authorisation, just to name two. I am always entering contests, but I am skeptical about this, and with just cause don't you think? Please give me some feedback. Is this legit? I think not.

I Received my Check today in the amount of 2998.55. I thought it wasn't true so I call the local FBI here in my town and an Agent told me it's mostly likely a SCAM because if I won that type of money they would have took all the money for clearance out before sending me the check. I am asking all of you to contact your local FBI Agent in your local town to put a stop to this madness. I also try to call my agent back within 30mins and she was not answering her phone so it just comfirm she as about game or shall I said SCAMING the NEEDED Like many of you that money could be used for your famlies as well as mines.
