They emailed, called and send a scanned certificate of powerball international lottery inc to say I won 500,000.00 pounds. The certificate - Powerball International Lottery Inc, krusslann 205, 1098sj, London, United kingdom. ' POWERBALL BV LOTTERY 2006 '. The license no; MIR-L7493U. Reference number: PBL/CN/6654/CP and the coupon number : PBL 2348974321. Certificate signed by the CEO Prof. Diane Biame of powerball International Lottery Inc. Can somebody confirm on this. I recieved a letter from 0LGC STATING THAT THAT I HAVE WON 4,975.00 AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO SEND IN A TAX AMOUNT OF 2,800.00 PLUS SHE SAID I WOULD HAVE TO SEND AN ADDITION 150.00 FOR THE PROCESS FEED. SHE ALSO SAID THAT MY TOTAL AMOUNT OF WINNING 250,000.00 AND AFTER I SEND THE TAX AMOUNT OF 2,800.00+ 150.00 FOR PROCESSING FEED THERE WOULD STILL BE OVER 149,000.00 LEFT FOR ME TO CLAIM...

we receiver a letter saying we won money and they sent a check saying we have to cash it for taxes and send them the money and then they would send us the prize money what is up with that is this a scam how can we verify this

I recieved a check from olgc financial for almost 5000. supposedly from dec 30 2005 lottery winnings and said that I had won $250.000.00 total and that after I cashed the check I would have topay $2950.00 for taxes owed on the winnings.What should I do now?

I too received a Grand Slam Winner notification from HAPLIN DATA SERVICES - THE NUMBER CRUNCHERS.
They request R100 prior to them sending my allocated numbers. If I have already won,why must I still pay R100? This must be a scam. Please confirm.

I just received a notice saying that I am to OFFICIAL GRAND SLAM WINNER. It doesn't say how much I won but to sent $10.00 cash back with my reply. The crazyest part is that there are three different addresses. One for the Reply envelope, one on the inside for the $10.00 and one for the return to if undelivered. The first two are in Australia the last in Singapore. Nowhere does it say How Much I Supposedly Won. I have entered the Australian Lotteries before but always buying a ticket and there was always sufficient notice of any other kind of draws to be included when I purchases my tickets. And there was always only one address shown matching forms and envelope. This one sure does smell funny.
