If the cheecked was already cashed through a bank approval and didn't know this was a scam. What is the cosequence if you can't pay it all back at once.

I recieve a letter stating I had won $250,000 in the North American Sweepstakes Lottery, With a check for $4975.00, I called and spoke to a gentleman, he told me to deposit the check into my account and send them $2700.00, then within 48 hrs., I would get the remaining balance of my winnings by fed ex, I can't believe all of this, can't someone stop these people????? Can someone give me or all of us more info on the crooks?? Thanks, Marca

WATCH OUT FOR THE AUSTRAIN INTERNATIONAL LOTTERY BONANZA 2000!!!!!!IT IS A SCAM!!! I CALLED THE THE WELLS FAGO BANK AND ASKED THEM IF THE CHECK WAS A REAL ACCOUNT THEY RAN THE ACCOUNT NUMBER AND SAID THAT IT WAS A GOOD ACCOUNT AND THE WELL OVER THE AMOUNT OF $2996.64 THIS CHECK WAS FOR TAXES AND FEES!!! AND OF COURSE AFTER I LET THE CHECK SET IN THE BANK FOR 3 DAY I ASK IF HAD CLEARED MY BANK SAYED YES, AND I DID JUST WHAT MY BONANZA 2000 AGENT CASSANDRA ANDERSON SAID AND WESTERN UNION THE MONEY TO HER!!! SOME HOW AFTER I HAD GOT THE MONEY OUT OF THE BACK THE CAME BACK ON ME AND STOPPED PAYMENT ON THE CHECK NOW I AM OVERDRAFTED $3001.00 AT MY BANK!!!! MY HUSBAND IS 37 AND ON DISABILTY DUE TO A BACK INJURY HE ONLY GETS $733.00 A MONTH AND WE HAVE 2 KIDS I WAS THINKING THAT I WAS HELPING OUR FAMILY OUT BY DOING WHAT THEY ASKED ME TO DO SO THEY WOULD SEND ME THE $80.000.00 THAT THEY PROMISED ME WOULD COME BY UPS TODAY OR TOMARROW AT THE LATEST!!!! I received a letter from "Bonanza 2000- Australian International Lotto" claiming that I was selected as one of the winners. The check enclosed with the letter seems real. There is no small print or any other markings that could prove this check false.

Jeff, re jpmorgan bank out of NY.. Dont cash it. I deposited my check last week and thank God my bank put ahold on the check it came back counterfeit. My bank called the bank in NY and there is no such account. My bank closed my account because of this and they didn't pay any money out for this check. Everyone listen, get your bank to call the bank on the check before you deposit it. Everyone good luck.

I just received a letter from Irish Random Lotto informing me that I'd just won $85,500 USD (3rd category of 17 winners from 1,453,500 USD). An assistance check of $2,996.64 drawn on a company named Contour-Arc, Inc. (which upon researching is legitimate and even appears on our list of businesses through the Sec. of State as legitimate) was enclosed to finance the international clearance fees of $2,828.00. I was told to contact my claim agent, Lisa Spencer of Kingsway Financiers in Belfast Ireland for the "activation & authorization" of my check. Please advise if this is a scam as I'm supposed to respond by May 29, 2006.

I also recieved a letter and check for 2997.14 dollars informing me that i had won 85500.00 on the australian international lotto. The letter is from bonanza 2000.The check looks genuine, drawn on a bank of america account. I am supposed to contact a brandy smith kingsway financiers in nova scotia. Obviously i have no intention of wasting my time calling these fraudsters. Be warned. You don't get something for nothing.
