Can you please let me know if the NUMBER 45 STRATEGIES "SUPER-GOLD ELIMINATION CARNIAL sweepstakes from Australia is a scam? a friend of mine was contacted by phone and mail and told that she is a winner in "her division" of the so-called Super-Gold elimination round.
Also, she received notification from a location in the Netherlands that she has won 1,69 million dollars and that she needs to contact the WAO POSTBUS 22673 1100 DD ZUID-OOST Netherlands office and send $35.00 for validation of her address and confirmation of address and identity.

I recieved a check in the mail on November 10, 2008 in the amount of $4,890.00 and the attached letter says to contact the person mentioned on the letter before cashing or depositing. The issuing company is PREMIER FINANCIAL SECURITIES, INC. 7 PORT ST., MIDLAND ONT. L4R 1Y5 (TEL- 1/416/826/2774).
When I called this man -- he was very nasty asking me a bunch of questions -- very un professional and then he got mad at me and slammed the phone down in my ear and now WILL NOT ASNWER THE PHONE when I call back.
