Wow! I too got the same letter and cheque and don't really understand how this works. Is it money laudering through individuals? I am a bit naive about this topic and wonder how they make money. Anyway, I don't plan to cash the cheque but will file complaints.

hi today i got a letter from the euro winning lottery place too. just like everyone else i was excited to see that amoutn of money. i went to the bank and deposited the check well thank god i have a bank that holds big checks for a week to see if there good or not. i came homea nd looked up the information and sure enough it was a scam. i called the bank and let them know so they could get the check out before they sent it out. i filed a complaint with the post office but there needs to be something more we can do to inforn other people about this like if they dont have a computer how are they going to know?? if any one has any ideas speak up the ass holes need to be punished.

I received a certificate of aware from European International Lottery claimig that I had won the third category and have been awarded a lump sum payout of USD $95,000.
A check in the amount of $1,950.00 was enclosed along with the award letter.The letter instructed that I cash or deposit the check to pay for tax and clearence fees. I was to contact the agent once the $1950.00 had been wire to them by money gram to Queebec Canada.
After contacting the agent he assured me my winnings were be sent Federal Express. I however began to have some concerns that something wasn't right.
Within an hourI did some investigation on my own to check out the information I had received and the company name and address showed no listing for Quebec, Canada. I knew then that I had been scammed.
SO IF ANY OF YOU OUT THERE RECEIVE A LETTER FROM EURO LOTTO, CERTIFICATE OF AWARE, RESEARCH OR CHECK IT OUT, OR EVEN GET LAW ENFORCEMENT INVOLVED BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING. HOPE WHO EVER READ THIS, WILL BE AHEAD OF THE GAME AND MAYBE WE'LL HAVE A CHANCE TO CATCH THESE ASS HOLE'S>>>>>>

I also just received a Euro Lotto Certificate Of Award. That looked official and was signed by Reginald Fontaine. The check was for $1,998.95 that I was to cash and send $1,850.00 to their North American Agent. The check was from Party world Inc in Alaska. I didn’t remember filling out anything for a lottery so I decided to look it up. I eventually found this site. I thank everyone for posting to prevent any further damage. I am only 18 and I don’t know what I would have done if I would have fell for the scam so thank you again for posting.

Hi everybody. I received such a fraud check from euro lottery yesterday. And I supposed to send them money today. But it's too good to be real. So I decided to check out Internet. Thank you people I did not send any money anywhere. But I made a deposit on my account already. So my bank's gonna charge me soon :( Anyway it's better than it could be. THANK YOU

I also received an Euro certificat also a check in the amount of $1950.00 I cashed the check my husband said it was real but I dont buy it .I am not spending the money that I got until I hear something.There are some evil people out there lord help us all.

I received an Euro Awards certificate today in the mail and a check from Bank of America for 1950.00 for tax and clearance fees??? I knew something didnt seem right with it. I am bringing the check to Bank of America tomorrow for them to investigate it further. This is the only site I found that describes exactly what I received in my mailbox. Im glad I read everyones testimony before I went further!

I filled out a complaint form with USPS for mail fraud,FTC,and Better Business Bureau about these letters and suggest all of you do the same. They all have forms online so it is real easy.The more complaints the more counts of charges they will have to face when they get caught.Thanks to this web page I did not become a victim because I would have sent money once the bogus check cleared.

I have just received a letter from Euro Lotto from a Pierre Van Hussen from Prince MARTINS Of Guaranty Financiers, Subsidiary Of Euro Trust Corp., 3400 Dupont St. Montreal Quebec Canada. Tel; 1-450-675-0342. I was mailed a check for 1,950.00 from Bank Of America that I was told to cash and use for taxes on 95,000.00 that I won. Every time I called the above number someone did answer the phone and told me once I cash the check to call them back and they would send me a cashiers check for 93,050.00. I recieved the letter on Feb.7 and they told me I have to respond by Feb.25. I even asked the guy are you sure this isn't a scam! Alwas remember if it sounds to good to be true it probably is!

Since there is so much publicity about scams I was leery about cashing the check without doing some research and from other "WINNERS" letters I am glad I did.
