i received a letter in the mail from a company called
s.c.m. funds management and payment center along with a check for $4,800.00 stating i won this money from the north american prize pool. i was online playing lotto and supposedly i won. So, i took the check to my bank and they told me that i had to wait 5 days until the check cleared. i thought ok no problem but then when i went to try to withdraw some of the moneys alloted to me, i was told that there was a freeze on my account due to this check deposit. Then i was transferred to the fraud dept of my bank and they said because this check was bogus they would have to close my account.

I received a letter stating that I have won $250,000.00 that 36 other people also won this amount and I thought I'd better check this out and I did. I thought?
I called California where the bank was located on the check and the verified that the checking account and routing number was in fact good, called another branch and verified that it was also good and the woman said go ahead and cash the check thats the only way you will know for sure. So I called the man on the OLGC Letter I received with the check and he gave me a western union account name, address, city, state, and zip code to western union my taxes of $ 2,800.00 from my winnings as instructed to do so in the OLGC letter. Well five days after cashing the check the bank calls to say the check did not clear and I owe them 100.00 .
I didn't find this hard to believe because I enter in so many contests knowing and hoping to win. I still don't know if I won something or this is truly a scam.

i recieved an E-MAIL telling me that i have won sterlling pound 6.6million. through computer balloting by microsoft international jackpot. that winning master card has been forwarded to interparcel & international courier. i am being asked to send 1329 sterlling pount for delivery of the parcel. i have doubted since then and have not sent them anything. thanks for alerting on this scam.
