This is the letter I received today. I am really sure that I did not enter
in any kind of lotto or fill out any at anytime or anywhere. This must
be a scam. So watch out.

Hey, I just had an e-mail telling me that a relative that doesn't exist (Engr. Lurther Schultz) who left me an astanomically obscene amount of money in his will, what a joke. Check out kipluck's answer to the same e-mail, she's a genius, had me in fits...... Yet another internet scam! What a surprise! Beware all the scum of the earth are out there to take you for all that you are worth!

I received a letter along with a check saying that I won a certain amt of money in the OLGC. All I had to do was cash the check that they sent to pay the taxes on the money I won (which comes to the exact amt of the check) and as soon as they receive the money, they will either send me a certified check or wire money directly into my account.
Is this a scam. The check look real and I checked out the bank on line and it does exist.
What is your suggestion?

I also received an email saying that I have won USD 1.5 million and that I should contact Mark Adams at the Noble Bank of Scotland. I sent him an email which went through. Thereafter, I sent him an email twice and both did not go through.
