I just received a check for 4975.00 from a company out of Elkhart, IN. When I went to the website of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, there was a fraud notice about it.

I'm concern about these people sending letter,and other notification telling me and perhaps others that we have won a lumps sum of money.Then they wanna ask you to send a check or your bank information for security purpose.#1 How is it possible for those people to my mailing information ;also why are they getting away with it.For at one point in my life i was a victim.Due to the fact that i had believe ;and send my money that i needed . All that happen was they were scamming me out of my money. None of those things as far as me winning anthing was true. So why are these people getting away with such crime.If you ask me they need to be lockup.

hey hows it going. i got a check in the mail from Guaranty Financial Trust the other day for $4828 saying i won 1 of 37 to win 9 million from North-American Sweepstakes Lottery. i called the number below and told me to deposit in my account. i still havent yet bc im skepical. my family says it looks real and i too. my bank tells me its a real check but people do scams all the time. Im not sure what to do with it. i also have plans to call the guy back tomorrow to find out more info. Help?

I recieved a letter from RHI Financial group Inc.
Informing me of the 2006 North American sweepstakes lottery. Also with a check, and a number to call and verify. The letter also says that part of this check is to be used to pay on taxes. And not to try to cash it untill I have called the number for clarification and instructions on claiming my winnings.

received check from Northeast Bank of Auburn, Me. And letter saying to call. Then to cash check and sent 3,900 by moneygram and keep the rest and I would get a check with the rest of the winnings, over 66,000 after I sent the moneygram would receive cahiers check by mail next day.
