I recieved a letter from omega british lottery,and a check from wells fargo bank n.a.,for 4,760.00.I called
the number provided and talked to a guy named Allen BELLECK.hE TOLD ME THAT MY NAME WAS DRAWN FROM A DATABASE.hE TOLD ME TO CASH IT ,GET A MONEY GRAM AND SEND IT TO A VICTORIA WILLIAMS IT WAS FOR TAXES ON 100,000,00 THAT i had won.THEY TOLD ME NOT TO CALL ANYONE BECAUSE THEY WOULD TAKE ANOTHER 30% FOR THE IRS.QUESTION;IF i WOULD PUT THIS CHECK IN MY ACCOUNT WHAT WOULD HAPPEN?

i recieved a check from OLGC Financial Group,Inc., from boston, Massachusetts, for 4,975.00. It is an actual check, but says I have to pay taxes on 250,000.00,that I won, and that this is the first payment. I am to send the taxes of 2,800.00 by money gram or western union immediately.Is this a scam? barb

I received an unaddress letter and check in the mail last Friday. When I opened it I was like are you serious this is fake. I read the letter after looking at the check and it said I won 95000usd, the check was for 4850. I was still in shock but still didn't believe it. Then when I read on it said that I have to take 3500 out of the money and mail it too this guy. I called the # on the letter. He wants me to deposit the check and then get 3500 cash and FedEx it too him..This seemed really fishy. So I told him okay and never called him back. Did you notice on the check that there's no void after this day. I could find one..Also I couldn't find my address on the check. I wanted to report this so I called the FBI, they told me to shred the check because it is a scam and they get calls like this all the time and they have hundreds of copies of these checks. So throw it away or just save it for rememberance..lol...Its a fake and if you really won something do you really think you really think that you have to pay someone to get your money....? Think about it,do you want to be 5000 dollars in the hole, not I.

MY DAUGHTER RECIEVED A CHECK TODAY FROM A COMPANY STATING THAT SHE WAS ONE OUT OF 15 PEOPLE THAT WON THIS LOTTO, AND WITH THE CHECK WAS A LETTER AND THE AMOUNT OF THE CHECK WAS$3,750.00, SHE CALLED AND THEY TOLD HER TO DEPOSIT IT INTO HER ACCOUNT, AND AFTER SHE DEPOSIT IT TO GIVE THEM A CALL, THE TELEPHONE NUMBER THAT WAS ON THE CHECK WAS 647-836-3139 AND THE LADY SHE SPOKE TO NAME WAS BARBARA TYLER. SHE HAS PLAYED A LOT OF SWEEPSTAKES IN THE PAST. SHOULD SHE DEPOSIT THIS CHECK?

my father received this letter from Haplin Data Services saying my father won a grand slam however, to claim the grand slam number he has to send a cash amount of P.500 to Locked Bag 32, Bundall, QLD 4217 Australia. A secure payment envelope is provided stammped confidential.
I became suspicios about this since there are many cases of this sort already reported. Besides the letter never contained any contact numbers or e-mail ad for verification nor have indicated contact persons.
Please shed light on this.

I got a letter from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp about winning the North American/European Sweepstakes Lottery held on Dec 30th in the 2nd category. The Olga website listed these Fraud Indicators
If you did not buy a ticket.
If you've never heard of the lottery game.
If you did not register your name, address, email address, phone number, and a credit card before you were allowed to buy a ticket on an online lottery web site.
If you do not live in the country and you are not a citizen of the country of that lottery.
If you're asked to pay money up front for fees or taxes in order to release your "win."
If you're told you must reply within a given time or the money will be given to someone else.
I have the same winning numbers as the others that received a check for 4975.00 and ticket serial numbers of FS 00945610987 and claim number JH/ca0011.

Received letter today stating I won$250K US dollars enclosed was a check for $4,975.00. It said do not attempt to use this check until I called Ms. Stacy Clarke @ 1-519-694-0176. Also winning numbers were 3-9-14-17-29-37-48. They also wanted me to Western Union or Money gram $2800.00. Are they for real? SCAM, I would ignore this and report it immediately.

I got this letter from an Ontatio lottery and gaming corporation that stated we won the lottery and what my winning numbers were.I never had winning numbers.Never been to Cananda.I got a check that I could cash for 5000.00.Who are they and how did they get my name.How do I get off their waiting list.This letter was a bunch of crap.i was wise not to do it.But old people who have hardly any income can fall in the trap.We need to work together and get rid of these scums!!!!!!!!!1
