hello, i got a call from my brother on 8-12-06. he had said that someone from jamaica called and told him that i won over 2 million dollars. well anyway i called this guy who is mr,miles today(8-14-06) and he said that he has been trying to reach me for the past 2 months by mail. i told him that i had never seen any mail from his co(win) in that time frame. i was not jumping off my chair when he told me that i had the money. well i told him that i would be home on tuesday (8-22-06) and we will see?

I received a check in the mail today from OLGC Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation. The amount is for $3,900.00; I am "required" to send $2,700.00 USD to Cheryl Davis, Accounts-Receivable.
I was directed to this website while checking out the legitimacy of OLGC. How long has this scam been going on?

Hi,
I just received in the mail a Switzerland Lottery Certificate of Award saying that I was awarded $65000. With the letter came a check writeen out to me for $1990 which would be applied to my winnings. Is this a scam? If so, what should I do about this?

Yeah, I was stupid and fell for the scamm, too. Now my bank account is $3,000.00 in the negative. I know I'm not the only one who fell for this scam, so what did you guys do? I know that it is now my responsibility to cover those funds, but isn't there an attorney we can contact or something to stop this scam? If this many people have been scammed, we have to stop it from going any further! Do I contact the police? Find an attorney? I don't know what to do.

IF A BANK CASHES THIS CHECK AFTER 3 BUSINESS DAYS, I FEEL THEY ARE THE ONES TO BE HELD RESPONSIBLE NOT THE ONE WHO CASHED IT.
WHEN WE WRITE A CHECK TO MAKE A PAYMENT AND THE CHECK IS RETURNED FOR NON SUFFICENT FUNDS, WE ARE THE ONES HELD RESPONSIBLE NOT THE PERSON WHO TRIED TO CASH IT.
MAKES SENSE TO ME THAT WACHOVIA BANK IS THE ONE TO BE PAYING FOR THIS. AFTER ALL, THEY CAN FILE INSURANCE CLAIMS ON MONEY LOST BUT WE THE CUNSUMER HAVE NO OPTIONS BUT TO GO IN DEBT OVER THEIR CARELESSNESS.

Today, August 14, 2006: I received a letter from the Haplin Data Services stating that I am an official Grand Slam Winner and that if I send them $10.00 they will send me all the possible number sets that can win the first prize in the Australian Lotto.
I'm not that dumb. These are scams and sending money or any other personal info will only cause heartache.

I received a letter from AtlanticWestGaming saying that I won $50,000. I also received a check in the amount of $2,950 from a bank called HSBC to pay for the "processing fees and international taxes". Is this a scam? Both Companies have web sites.The letter says that "it will not cost me a penny to claim my winnings". Any info will be helpful
