I got a letter from Haplin Data Services wishing me "Birthday Greetings", And three free gifts.
1. 42 Powerball number sets
2. 1 free AUD $5,000.00 cash bonus draw entry
3. 1 Bonus "Win Number Pack Scratch Card".
And a chance to become a Powerballs Multi-Million dollar winner. For $15.00 for 42 sets, and or 2x the amount for $29.95. I have received several of these over the years and have ignored them. Are they a scam? I also get something from AIWC. Has anyone heard of them?

My dad of 86 fell for some Australian Lottery scam and they got him for $650.00 cash (sent Western Union at the cost of $50something) before I found out about it. I could not convince him of the fact that he had been scammed. He told me he laid awake for nights with excitment of how he was going to distribute this money between the three of us kids. I said they told you that you won last year too Dad...what are the chances that you've won two lotteries within two years of each other. He still didn't believe me, I called the F.B.I. and they said that these people are so protected that you can't catch them but that some are eventually caught. I called the 011 # in Austrialia and screamed at the top of my lungs to leave my dad alone you #$%@&*'n loser! I said, "get a real job"! They have $650.00 of my dad's hard earned cash and we will not see that again and when I thought it was over and I had conviced him of the scams that go on everyday, I visited him yesterday and he was already reading about another lottery in Austriala. For everyone reading, if this is the case with your loved one, the F.B.I. informed me to contact the Postal Inspection Service to stop that type of mail from going to his house. Their number is 1-800-372-8347.

P.S. When you think you've won the Austrialian lottery and the guy tells you NOT TO TELL ANYONE ABOUT THIS.....be very suspicious NO WAIT, hang up the phone NOW. Don't get involved, it's a scam.
