Yep, happened to me too! And I've ben praying to win the lottery: so, I thought "My prayers are answered".
Then, my beautiful, fifteen year-old daughter/wanna be lawyer, figured it out in minutes, googled it and here we are. So much for the "magnetizing myself to money concept"
Well, At least I am not victim of a fraud, thanks to my daughter!

Irish Random Lottery : Wow what a scam!!!!!! I just got off the phone with Advocate Health Care. They are asking that anyone who gets a check with their name on it, calls them. 1-800-323-86228311. That way they can help track the checks.

if you receive the check in the mail turn it over to the fbi and postal police for prosecution its the only way anybody will due anything is by sending the letter and check useing the postal service

Please DO NOT cash the check you received from the Irish Random Lotto for $2,994. It is a SCAM. The checks are fraudulent. They look real, but are stolen. Call the bank it is written on and they will tell you the truth. All you have to do is read the letter where it says you are one of 17 international winners. You can see they have mailed this to thousands of people. NEVER, EVER send a lottery any money for fees or taxes. If you had indeed entered and won any lottery, they would deduct any expenses from the winnings and send you the balance. Also contact the company that the check was supposedly written from (find their contact information online).

I RECEIVED THE SAME LETTER AND CHECK STATING I WAS ONE OF 17 PEOPLE INTERNATIONALLY CHOSEN AT RANDOM. THE CHECK WAS IN THE AMOUNT OF 2995.96 SO I TOOK IT TO THE BANK TO MAKE SURE IT WAS LEGIT THEY PULLED THE ACCOUNT UP BY THE ACCOUNT NUMBER ON THE CHECK AND IT CHECKED OUT. I TOLD THEM I WANTED TO MAKE SURE THAT THIS WASNT A SCAM. SO THEY TOOK THE CHECK AND PUT IT UNDER THE BLACK LIGHT, SUPRISE, SUPRISE IT WAS MISSING SOME FIBERS SO THEY KEPT THE CHECK AND TOLD ME THEY WOULD DO A DELAY FUNDS DEPOSIT AND AL LONG AS IT CLEARED THEY WOULD DEPOSIT THE MONEY AND I COULDN'T GET IN ANY TROUBLE THEN I CAME HOME AND DECIDED TO LOOK IT UP ON THE INTERNET AND FOUND THIS WEBSITE. SO WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW? I CONTACTED MY LOCAL POLICE DEPT. AND THEY BASICALLY JUST LAUGHED AT ME SO I GUESS THEY'RE NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING. I CALLED THIS LISA JORDAN AND LEFT A MESSAGE COUSING HER AND EVERYONE THAT WORKS FOR OR WITH HER ON THIS OUT.

I to received a check from the Irish Lotto, for $2995.96. The signature on the letter did not match the name printed. I contact Advocate Health Care and thye asked me to send it back to them, Of course I wrote VOID accross it before mailing it to them. If you have received a check that is supposedly from Advocate dont cash it send it back to them.

Yesterday I had gotten a check in the mail for the irish
random lotto and it looked so real, but when I continue
to read the letter I thought of what my friend went through with a simalar check. She learned the hard way,but she told all her friends so they don't fall pray
to it. So I took it down to my pastor and he said that he new the company's name on the check(Alside First on American's homes) because before he became a pastor he was a construction worker in Ohio wher this company is and told me it was a aluminum sideing company and doesn't
have nothing to do with an Irish lotto. So when I went to pick it back up his wife was home so I showed her and she found this web site. I couldn't believe how many letters there was so I took it straight down to the post office like one of the letters said they did. hopefully I can help to get this kind of thing from happening to someone else.

Hi THERESA. My bank also wants me to pay them back but I spoke to someone in the Fraud Department and was told that they have the option of keeping my account open for up to 4 months and as long as I'm paying on it she will do this for me. If I don't, they'll close my account and turn it over to a collection agency. Maybe you can make the same type of arrangement. Also they may be just trying to bully you into paying it with threats. I'm sorry it happened to you and I hope this helps.

Hi Betty Boop. In my defense, I did call Wells Fargo Business Banking and gave them all the information at the bottom of the account: 167834 121000248 4375665064 and was told that it was indeed a good check and that it had been paid and had cleared the Wells Fargo account. I just spoke with a service rep that said there isn't a problem with the order of the numbers. I also spoke to the company that issued the checks and from my understanding these were real checks that were stolen.

I too received a check from the "Irish Lotto" It is a SCAM, my check was from Advocate Health Care and I called them and they told me they have been having serious problems because of this. DON'T CASH IT, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My olgc financial group inc. check is a fake. The Northern trust company is getting a lot of calls. The bank said to send the letters and checks to them. They also said there might be a lawsiut.
So, the real lotto is:
If you get a check, you might be involved in a lawsiut. Which is good if we are going to get paid, as a reward for not falling victim. I mean after all, it makes life easier for the banks.
