I received the letter like everyone else, only mine was for another amount. They sent me a check for $975 and I was to contact them then send $925 for taxes. I pretty much knew it was a scam, but being tight for money did check into it. I tried numerous times to contact the person listed on the letter to get my instructions. Could never get through. I then called my bank, which happened to be the same bank the check was issued from. They looked up all the information and did verify that THIS IS FRAUD!. Regions' bank instructions were to destroy the check. I could not find any information anywhere online that was actual proof that it's fraud, so this is to anyone out there who is trying to find an answer and not finding it. Sorry! I know you are disappointed, as am I. It's fraud.

i am constantly receiving "notifications" from freelotto.com that i have won anywhere from $300.00 US to $1,000,000.00 US, all i have to do is confirm my PIN number and a check will be issued. I don't know about anyone else, but when a business or organization states they are "free", that's what i expect to see, FREE, not "send $______ amount to our offices so we may process your winnings". to me that sounds an awfully lot like false advertising or at the very least misrepresentation. it is very misleading to say the least. i have even clicked on the "unsubscribe" link to have my name removed from their list only to receive another "notification" within 24 - 48 hours. It borders on harassment and i am getting extremely tired and irritated seeing all the different ways they disguise their e-mailings just to get you to open up their e-mail. it makes one start to wonder if there weren't alterior motives at work here to get persons to open them, does it have a virus attached to it that is going to wipe out my computer???? just venting and wondering if anyone else is as annoyed by this crap/junk mail as i am. thank you for allowing me to make my statement.
