I recieved a letter stating I had won. I have since then deposited it into the bank. The bank took the check and said they would have to hold it for 5 days my 5 days willbe up on July 13,2006. I don't know if the check will clear or not but if it does I can't say I wont't spend the money because I am currently unemployed. I had a frien that recieved the same check she cashed it at a pawn shop and spent the money I'm not sure if it will clear at the bank but I will know this coming Thursday.

I recieved a letter today from the Irish Random Lotto w/ a check for 2,995.96. I don't know if this is real or not!! I will not cash the check and take the chance on them having access to my bank account in any way!! I am going to let my local bank know so they know about this possiable scam. I am also going to the attorney general's office so they can look into this. If anyone has any info about this please let me know!!!!

To all having a problem with these scams
Take the check that you recieve and take it to your local fbi office and turn the check over to them and let them deal with the people who are trying to scam you.
Also give them any other documents that you recieve in the mail that the check came in please do not throw it away as this will help the fbi nail these scammers.
good luck and remember do not put these checks in your acct but if you did please go to your bank and have them find the check and make a copy of it with a statement to put up on the bank website and inside your bank, then have them call the fbi

I also received a letter from irish random lotto. I called and talk to a Debbie Allen, she told me that I had been randomly selected from a computer, and for me to deposit this check in my bank. I did. But I really got to thinking about it, so I called the BBB, and they told me it was a scam, and if I cashed that check I would go to jail for fraud, not them but me. Is that fair? No, so what can we do. These people need to be stopped, before they really get through to sombody that is really in need, and they take everything they have. I know I was so excited, I don't want to see this happen to someone else

I have also received a check from the Irish random Lotto. I was told to contact Monica Rogers, who did sound legitimate. she explained to me that i need to deposit the check into my account, wait for it to clear and then call her when it does. today i went to my bank and they told me that the check had been returned that more than likely it was a fraudulent check. luckily, my account will only be negative a couple hundred dollars because of it, where as it could have been thousands, but a couple hundred it still horrible!! by the way, the company on the check was Capco, and it went through wells fargo. Since it went through wells fargo i thought that it was legit. my bank told me to call them to 'play' along to see if i could get any more info out of them, so i called monica rogers and told her that the check had cleared and i had the cash in my hands. she told me that that was perfect and to go to my local walmart and send the fee through a money gram to the accountant up in canada. she gave me the accountants name and address of where to send the money, and in 48 hours the check for 80,000 and tax exemption forms will be delivered to my house. i asked her if 'hypothetically' a check did not go through, what would happen then, and she said that it had nothing to do with them, it had something to do with the sponsors, such as Capco had sent me a bad check, that they were just the 3rd party. my bank will be looking into this for me, transfering all info to the authorities, and this is definitely not over! these people will pay for trying to scam innocent people!!!

I too received a letter in the mail. I did cash the check and send the money to Ottawa, Canada yesterday. My claim agent, Lisa Howard said that I will be receiving a call from the delivery department to get information on where to delivery the check. I need to sign and show a photo id to receive it. Then when I did receive it, then I'm suppost to call Lisa Howard back so she can tell me what I need to do with the check.
Please confirm this is scam and what I need to do?
