I was almost taken by these con artist, I went to my bank with the $2,995.96 check and the certificate that it came with saying I won $80,000 - Well, I asked the bank to please check and make sure that this was not a scam - They sent it to the Fraud Dept - and sure enough it was a scam. People if it sounds and looks to good to be true it probably is. If you ever win a Lottery, you will never have to pay for any fees.

I received a 2995.75 dollar check in the mail with a letter telling me I was computer selected and won in the third round of the IRISH RANDOM LOTTO. What made me suspicious is the line in the letter which states "we ask that you keep this award from public notice until your claim has been processed and money remitted to your account". It gives me the name of a claim agent to contact, an address, and a phone number. Please email me at address above about this matter.

I got one today Irish Random Lotto with a check from T.Rowe Price but no address for Price or the bank. and the Phone Number on the check said person was Busy right. So I call T.Rowe Price and the have their People working on it. I'm sorry to anyone that got took in this. Remember if it looks to good to be true it probably is. Good luck I hope you get your money back. What they want you to do is deposit the check sence it is under $3000.00 the bank will hold it about 2 days then they want you to Wire transfer $2,848.50 in another country before the bank gets word it is a bad check then you are out the money. I have to say I have seen a lot of checks in my day and this one at first glance even to me looked real.

Yes i also got 80,000 lotto winng letter cash the check they sent looks verry real buy us that got brun call your F.B.I office with any phone numbers you have even send them the letter you got it will help catch the fn crooks

This an update on my lotto winnings LOL .I have contacted the FBI . They do have a intrest in these folks . I have to mail them my letter and check. The bad news is the agent I spoke with said it will be very unlikely to catch these guys because of international laws on deportation.So if you get one of these lotto letters contact your local FBI.Sory for all of you that fell for this and God Bless you all.

THERE ARE TWO PLACES YOU NEED TO CALL AND REPORT THIS SCAM:
1. FIRST CALL: THE CANADIAN PHONEBUSTERS toll free at 1-888-495-8501 the more people that call the easier it is to catch these crooks! In June alone they caught 590 people who are now facing 29 yrs. in prison (personally I think they deserve more) and all assets are frozen. These 590 people took 2.8 million people for over a billion dollars! A judge in Canada can direct any assets froze go back to the victims, but you would have to have reported it here. You may not recieve anything, but at least the crooks can be caught.
2. CALL THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION toll free at
1-877-382-4357. If they get enough phone calls from people they will start a class action suit against these people, it is important that enough of us call!!! after you have called rewrite these numbers on the site with the information that you called.
I HOPE SOME OF US RECOVER OUR LOSSES, OR AT LEAST THE CROOKS GO TO JAIL!!!
OTHER INFO I WAS TOLD BY THE AUTHORITIES IS:
the cell phone company being used in Canada is fido solutions, a very common company, and traceable numbers to help catch the crooks
This scam has been going on since the 1800's, even lawyers, doctors and very educated people have fallen for it, so don't beat yourself up if you are a victim.
IT IS ILLEGAL IN THE U.S. TO PLAY ANY INTERNATIONAL LOTTERY!!!--A FEDERAL LAW

I received a letter and check from Irish Random Lotto. the check is supposed to be worth 2998.0 it is From ALSIDE,INC PO Box 2010,Akron,Ohio 44309
This check is a fraud. I called the Bank--National City Bank Ashland,OH . And they said that the numbers on this check do not come up on their company as a valid account.So everyone please beware of them.

I unfortunately fell for it. I received a check for $2996.11 from Genworth Financial Mortgage. I cashed the check and was told to wire the money to someone in Canada. I then called the Royal Imperial Financial Management Group and let then know. Three days later I went to withdraw some money out of the bank and was told that a withdrawal to the sum of $2996.11 was done and I didn't even have that much money in the bank. The check was reported stolen and forged. I want to report it but don't know who to go to.

On July 14, 2006 I received a check for $2,996.90 from a company in Holbrook, NY, the letter that came with it said that I was a winner in the Irish Random Lotto...I don't even play the NY Lotto let alone the Irish Lotto is this a scam...I want to deposit the check into my bank account but I am very skeptical, I do not want my bank charging me any fees for depositing a check that does not clear...Is this legitimate or is this some kind of scam
