Today was the first time as I tried to log into just-fares.net and just-fares.com, that it doesn't come up and a message states that "this web has been closed for abuse"!!! FINALLY!!!!! Something has been done! Hooray!!!
Of course, it doesn't help those of us who have been scammed but I'm happy that no others will fall victim to this.
I hope those people running the site are found and arrested.

Unfortunately, the same story happened to us as we booked 4 plane tickets Paris/London/NY on www.ticketsaver.net. We gave our credit card number and then had to make a wirement to this austrian bank. This wirement was sent on July 11th (around 2700 USD...) but the tickets remained "hold until complete payment". We found it strange, as for "Monica" bizarre replies by mail and for the busy hotline. I discovered this web site last Monday and try to have our money back since then but our bank cannot tell us if the money has already arrived in Vienna or not. We also had to cancelled our credit card. It is a big mess and our summer holidays are completely ruined. I will for sure try to report to the FBI. Do some of you managed to get their money back after the wirement ?? Thanks for helping.

What else can we do to close down this website? I already reported to the ic3. But what else can I do to help close this website down?

Yeah, I just fell for the same thing last night. I canceled my credit card immediately after I booked the ticket. I got that same message that everyone else got and then googled their name to see what would come up and of course this site did. I told everything to my credit card company and they said not to worry about it and that their fraud department will take care of it. My boyfriend is from Europe (where I was going) and he said that he is going to try to contact the police in Vienna, Austria (where they want you to wire the money) and tell them what is happening. Hopefully that will help out a bit.

Sorry to hear it friends who got scammed (almost became a victim my self).......but I have some suggestions on how to find cheap plane tickets. If you’re flying domestic and flexible with your dates you can save money by going to http://travel.yahoo.com/ enter your cities and click on “My dates are flexible” button and search. Yahoo will tell you who has the cheapest fare and what days the airfare is offered (or basically what day’s u can travel) then pick your times but don’t buy yet. In many cases go directly to the airline website (ex. Delta.com, AA.com, United.com etc…), make sure you copy the times and dates you find on yahoo, and usually it will be $5.00 cheaper because the airline website doesn’t charge a service fee. Also use expedia.com as a tool and hotwire.com are great for last minute travels.

As for international fares, if you’re traveling to popular places such as Paris, Sydney, London, Bangkok etc… these websites still would work but I would also try Obrtiz.com As for the Market right now because of the ridiculous oil prices and summer season it may be difficult to find cheap fares. I’ve been doing this technique for many years and have NEVER paid for more than $250.00 for a US domestic flight. Also, low cost carriers such as South West and Jet Blue will not show up on these searches, so go directly to there websites and most of the time they are cheaper. Good luck.

I looked in to using just-fares.com as well after seeing some really tempting prices on flights. After making it a bit further in the ordering process I felt unsettled. I tried calling the 1-800 number and it was busy. The two non-800 numbers went to "full" mailboxes. I contacted the "live" support and never got a response and I spoke witha "monica" through e-mail. The e-mail responses I got started making no sense to me. That's when I searched on Google and came across this site and a few others. Phew, glad I didn't commit.

Also, I saw the certificate for the secure site did _NOT_ match just-fares.com. After looking deeper in to it it was issued to the company that is HOSTING the website.

I finally got their online support people today. I asked them why they were stealing peoples money..they played stupid for a minute then when I told them about all their bogus websites, and their wire transfer scams as well as tapping into peoples account and having money sent via Western Union to Bulgaria.. they did respond by saying "so what if we are". Now that should tell you just how legite they are. Please pass the word on to everyone you know and file a report to IC3 to stop them.

My wife attempted to purchase airline tickets on Just Fares.com on 7/14/2006 and it appears our cc was charged; however, we got an email stating there was a problem processing the payment and we needed to process payment using a wire transfer. My wife emailed the web site and we received another email stating that our account had been overcharged and (1) our money will be returned and (2) we need to re-process the payment.

Anyone have any info?

I booked 2 tickets on Just-Fares.com and got the same response as everyone else as far as needed a wire transfer done and emails from Monica at Just-Fares telling me the $665 taken from my account would be credited back. I knew something was right so I when I checked my account it showed that the transaction was pending thru Western Union. I called Western Union and they advised that their fraud dept had this website listed as fraudulant and cancelled the transaction before it could be sent thru. They told me the money if the transaction hadn't been cancelled was going to Bulgaria. I was lucky and thank goodness Western Union is looking out for their customers and has a fraud dept. I had to cancel my credit card and reported them to IC3 but please beware as Just-Fares uses several different website names that all look legite. There is a listing of most of these sites on listed on one of the blogs below. Don't use this site as it is definitely a scam.

I'm another one that almost got scammed by just-fares.com or
just-fares.net. I was so excited after finding the absolute cheapest international airlines ticket after endless hours of searching online. I thought I purchased 2 tickets by giving them my credit card as well as my mother's credit card. I like the others, got an email saying that an error occured and that I needed to wire transfer money to an account in Austria.- A Red Flag, indeed. I called the 800 number numerous times with a busy signal as well as the other numbers that are disconnected. When i emailed Monica, she avoided my question about the credit card and explained how i needed to wire transfer the money, even suggesting online banking. I searched endlessly for another phone number and came accross justfares.com. ( a legitimate company) but not the same which has been getting numerous calls regarding this issue. Finally, I looked online for scams regarding this company, and low and behold came across this site. Although our credit cards were not charged, we did cancel them which is such a hassle. It's ridiculous how they can get away with this. And there website is very professional that it can fool anyone. Still looking for the cheapest legitimate website for international fares. Any suggestions?
