Moscow carder arrested

Russian law enforcement have finished the preliminary investigation of a case involving a man of Moscow, Russia, who suspectedly committed fraud using payment cards of the Webmoney.
Webmoney is Russian online payment system akin to PayPal or 2Checkout.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, police established that the suspect, unnamed, illegally obtained activation codes of Webmoney cards and tried to increase his account. He caused damage exceeding $7,000 to a company issuing such cards in Russia.

Police seized 87 sheets with printouts of activation codes. These codes valued to payment cards of $50 and $100. The sum total of these codes amounted to $1,5 million. It is still under investigation how the criminal obtained these codes.
