Cybercop charged with cybercrime

The top cyber-crime investigator for the Monroe County Sheriff's Department has himself been arrested for computer tampering.

44 year old Investigator Michael Hildreth of Penfield was named in an indictment that was unsealed yesterday. He's been charged with 3rd degree felony Computer Tampering, felony Evesdropping and Official Misconduct.

Hildreth allegedly tampered with his neighbor's computer during an ongoing dispute. He's been suspended without pay.
