Internet gets out of hand

‘Internet gets out of hand like a “Hundred-Headed Hydra”, Government have to develop public policy in the Internet Community’ – Alexander Socolov Minister of Culture and Popular Communications said at the government meeting.

"Internet – is a “Hundred-Headed Hydra” that gets out of hand. It can be considered as a huge world dump as well as powerful information exchange media’ – Socolov said.

’We long discussed what is the Internet? Is it Mass Media or not? We came to a conclusion that it is not Mass Media, it is more broad conception’ – Socolov said. - That’s why every branch ministry must take part in development of the Internet Strategy.

However, according to Socolov it is untimely to speak about the Strategy. Internet should become the topic of a special and detailed discussion.
