Microsoft said the analyst will supply real time data related to phishing scams and will also help prosecute spams breaching the US CAN spam act.
Collaborative partnerships between law enforcement teams, government, industry and academia are an important mechanism to restore consumer confidence in the Internet, Microsoft lawyer Nancy Anderson said.
The National Cyberforensics and Training Alliance consists of a partnership between the FBI, Carnegie Mellon University and West Virginia University.
