Hacker destroys ihug websites

Internet service provider ihug says customers targeted by a hacker were responsible for backing up their own sites because they were bound by the conditions of an American company.

A person calling themselves the 'Turkish Hacker' gained access to about 600 web pages earlier this month, about 100 of which were not backed up.

Those affected were customers of a company called Quik International, which ihug recently bought half of.

Quik International had a policy of requiring individuals to back up their own sites.
