This morning I received a letter from Euromillones Lottery Primitiva S.A. advising me that I had won 615,810.00 Euros in a lottery that I have never even entered !! and asking me not to tell anyone about it.

It requested that I contact a Don Fernado Smith (Foreign Operations Manager) of CREDITEL FINANCE COMPANY S.A. to start the claims process.

Also attached to the letter was a pro-forma "payment processing form" which they requested I complete and fax to CREDITEL FINANCE COMPANY S.A. On this form they asked I send all my details including those of my bank account etc. and attach proof of identity in the form of a photocopy of ID, Passport, Driving License etc. (How naive do they think people are ?)

The presentation of the letter was extremely amateurish - with poorly computer generated logos, a distorted photo of thier vice president and even the addition of childishly false stamps in an attempt to make the letter look official.

The composition of the letter, use of language, number of fonts and point sizes, plus the number of spelling mistakes all add to the overall amateurishness of this obvious scam.

I advise anyone else who receives such a communication to do what I did, put it through the shredder to provide fresh bedding for the kids pet.

Euromillones lottery primitiva s.a comes to Tasmania on 13/05/09 my wife recieved a letter in the mail hand written our address on the envelope sent from Madrid Spain saying on the 10 january 2009 she had won 815,810.00 euros and we should get in contact with our so called claims agent SNR JOSE LOPEZ the foreign affairs manager of ESTRELLA SEGUROS S.A by filling her details and fax back to them.I could see straight away this is a scam the poor quality of the letter printer lines through the printing and logos if this was real it be a professional looking letter this is very amateurish and for them being able to get hold of details such as names and addresses its a real worry.
BE CAREFULL WITH WHO YOU RESPOND TOO.

This has been a scam for YEARS --- all for the purpose of stealing your money and your identity. ANYTHING that sounds too good to be true...is...anything that raises a red flag is enough to NOT get involved. Always research. This one has been around for many many years now.

i received the same notification, using AXA insurance. I think AXA should do something if this is a scam. The contact person is DR PEDRO MANUEL WITH PHONE # 0034 685921916. i checked the AXA in madrid and their mailing address as well as phone number is different.
