WANE) Federal authorities in Indiana hope someone can help them find a man who has been indicted on child pornography charges.

"John Doe 13," is a white male with balding brown hair. He weighs approximately 180-200 pounds. He's believed to have transported child pornography on the Internet in September of 2005.

John Doe 13 was identified after the investigation and conviction of a person in northwest Indiana who collected child porn and traded it over the Internet. Authorities found a video clip of John Doe 13 engaged in the sexual abuse of a pre-pubescent girl. However they found no matches for John Doe 13 in their database.

This person could be anywhere, so media outlets across the country are being asked to show the photos in hopes someone can identify him.

If you think you have information that could help locate John Doe 13, call the FBI office in your region. You can find that office by clicking here.

This is the first case of its kind to be prosecuted in the Northern District of Indiana, and the thirteen such case to be investigated and prosecuted through the Endangered Child Alert Program, which was initiated by the Department's Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section and the Federal Bureau of Investigation in 2004. The Program uses national and international media exposure of unknown adult perpetrators featured in child pornography in an effort to identify, locate, apprehend, and prosecute such offenders and to rescue abused children.
