Much to my suprise, I received the software I ordered. After reading all the messages on the discussion board, I knew I had been scammed but fortunately that is not the case.

I received this just today from a "[email protected]". I try to block as much of spam as possible but it manages to slip through anyway:

Get all the software imaginable for prices substantially lower than in stores.
Our software is 2-10 times cheaper than sold by our competitors.
Examples:
$80 Windows XP Professional
$60 Norton Antivirus 2004 Professional
$90 Adobe Photoshop 7.0
$60 Red Hat Linux 7.3
$80 Windows 2000 Professional
$200 MS Windows Server 2003 Enterprise
$120 Microsoft Office 2003 Professional
$90 Adobe Pagemaker 7.0
Categories: Security, Business, Antivirus, Internet, etc.
And lots more...

http://fbgtquot.ildligg.biz/?V8XuXGpY2twOHVVigrtyywr This is the address given for OEMCD Inc. When you click buy now, notice that it does not go to a secure site {https) for you to enter in your credit card details! I wonder why?

OEMCD, Inc. is forging our domain to their spam in the Return To or X-RCPT headers.
I've spent the day tracking them through China only to dead-end. has anuone been successful in stopping these THIEVES!!!

However, I just clicked on the first one and... I get a site for it!? With OEM software...? WHat's up here? Whois and registar both said the domains were available...
Chris.
PS: A shit, now I got my address on here too. I thought it would be hidden. :( Maybe CCRC scams addresses too... ;)

I just got an Email like this too. I'm in the Netherlands. It uses different domains though. However, I checked them (thanks Kelly!) and they don't exist.

When ever possible, use www.whois.com or http://www.registar.com/ to find out how purchased the .com, biz etc. They do not spoof the address they use to purchase the address. Right click the email and click options. Towards the bottom the info will include information you can use to fight back.

Find a good mail bomb program and send them a few hundred emails.

If you think what they are offering is illegal, send the info to the FBI. Your tax dollars pay for the FBI, might as well use them.
