Heres the email I got after responding to an ad in a local newspaper.
Shower of blessings to you and thanks for your interest in my lovely babies.They are still available for their homes.They are both 12 weeks old,both of them will be 60lbs at full grown,their parents weighed 55-60lbs at full grown, The male (Diamond) and the female (Jade) are both AKC registered and have their shots given up to date,they are vet checked and trained.All their papers will accompany them, But right now I am in africa on a Christian mission with my wife and we have them right here with us.We are going to ship them to you via Express pets delivery on Next Day Delivery after shippment through a shipping agent ,I am leaving both of them for free and the shipping fee for each of them is $400 USD,if you are willing to have both the shipping fee for both will be $750USD.If you are interested in having any of them, I want you to get back to me with your full name,address,phone number including the nearest airport to you.Please if you know that you are not going to take very good care of my babies do not reply me because i am only giving them out because we don't have time to take care of them again due to the mission work before us here.Await your response.View pics in the attached files.

Don't know if anyone on here is familiar with Freecycle, but a tea-cup yorkie puppy was offered on my local freecycle group, immediately it was spotted as a scam, but some may not have known. Last year my mother was a victim, she was promised an English Bulldog Puppy, 8 weeks old, had a picture and everything, she was to send $300.00 for shipping and she would receive her puppy in 2 days. Well as you can guess she didn't receive it. She was devistated. She had had English Bulldogs in the past and after the last one passed away she longed for another and thought she found a good deal.
It is really sad a pathetic that a person or persons would do something like this to other people. It is unreal. So to you out there responsible for the scams, get a job rather than steal other peoples hard earned money. How could you live with yourself? That is okay though, you will have your judgement made. He will choose you eternal life after this one. I would hate to be in your shoes when Judgement Day arrives.

They are also trying to scam people who really are selling puppies. I was selling a purebred Shih-Tzu puppy in the local newspaper. A man called claiming to be deaf and that he wanted the puppy for his son for an xmas present. He then emailed the following telling us how he was going to pay and this company was going to ship the dog for him and he was going to send me a check for more than the puppy was worth and i should pay the shipping company, etc. The thing was he stated he lived in the same state as i did in a town two hours away from mine! I thought, after reading the email this cannot be real and emailed him back stating the puppy had already been sold. The info line stated:reserver the puppy for me. he went by the name larry white and his email address was [email protected] So to anyone selling a puppy in the paper or online, Beware!

Hello I just scammed about a yorkie. The name of the person was Sis Dora Williams and her person who says that was shipping was Marcus Okoro from Lagos nigeria. Sis Dora said she has a yorkie for adoption and wants her to have a good home, and they show pictures to show that she is real and she says she is in the UK and would like to ship her to us so they want me to send 410.00 to this person in Nigeria for shipping which the company name is Prestige Freight. So of course silly that I am I wired the money and now they are saying it is going to cost another 250.00 to get her out of quarantine in the UK So I emailed her back and told her she needs to pay that part and I will pay her back if she sends me dog. I only paid half and my friend paid half so at least it was only 200 each rather than the 400 but I wish I had looked more and found these discussions before I had went and paid. Thank you for putting these up

And also, would make us feel better about sending money by Western Union to someone we don't have ANY way of contacting other than email!?! There are sooo many scams on the internet these days. I got ripped on the same deal. So talked so sweet to me knowing My wife and I was almost in the dumps but to make my wife happy I found an ad stating that a woman was giving away some old english bulldog puppies. All I had to do was send her the shipping cost. I thought we had a perfect deal. Boy was I wrong. I lost 250 dollars.
