Many people throughout the country have been victims of Internet fraud. Whether you're searching the Internet for business or surfing the web for leisure, you're bound to run into a pop-up, a window telling you you've won a lottery or a trip to paradise.

There's also times when we try to win those on-line auctions and when we do, we don't get the
product we paid for. We come across these offers and sometimes they look so real, we fall for it. If you're one of those people, you're not alone. More than six thousand cases of Internet fraud was reported in Illinois in 2005.
