Someone out there wants to use your computer, and they want to use it to bother other computer users.

The "Storm Worm" - so named because it commonly bears the subject line "230 dead as storm batters Europe" - can carry so many malicious viruses it can overwhelm a computer's protection. The computer virus came to the U.S. Friday after raising havoc in Europe.

Home computers are more likely to be victims of the virus than business computers because of the protections, said Rebecca Steinberg Herson, spokeswoman for Commtouch Software, an e-mail protection company.
