I've seen this happen first hand, infact, I've had it happen to me before. I was wondering if anyone had any idea about how one can help catch internet predators. I'm quite interested in helping out!

I've been watching all those shows on TV about online preditors and I just feel disgusted...Last night there was a really interesting show on TYRA and it just made me want to catch all those sick demented people.If anyone out there knows where or who I can start helping please let me know. Im 20 yrs old and I have no kids, but I do have young sibiling and I would hate for anything to happen to them.

Before school last year, a dear friend of mine lost his son due to a sick internet predator. Parents and children, please beware. This is a serious matter. The truth is that people think it only happens to other peoples' children, and no one they know. Michael Williams was a good kid who died because he met his friend at a public park (how can you get any safer than this huh?????, Not so) His naked body was found miles away from his home and he had been sexually exploited.

hey, a have just became a victum of a predator. i was chating on yahoo. and this guy started talking to me. i talked back like alwayz. then he demanded me to turn my cam on and i told him no. then he told me he was going to steal my yahoo account if i didnt. i wouldnt turn it on so now he has my account..he signed in to my name and now he told me if i didnt turn my cam on and show him my private parts i wouldnt get my account back and he said that was the only way i'd get it back....i didnt show him but i lost a part of my social life. so i warn everyone mainly on yahoo to be careful..and unhook ur cams..he had a cam scanner...but i dont have my account anymore..and i just lost it like a few minutes ago..i never thought it would happen to me but it did...but i warn everyone....be careful..u never know who ur talkin to..

i am very intrested in helping catch the thousands of internet predators!!
I am a 26 yo mother of a 3 1/2 yo son. I am disgussted with all that is happening in this world and if can stop just one of these freaks from hurting a child, I will!
I am willing to do whatever it takes....
please tell me who I need to contact in order to get started.

Help
I have a sixteen year old who goes on avid gamers to write stories. She's been talking to some of the people for about two years now and trusts everything they say. She tells us that she doesn't go on any other chat sites and has never been propositioned, but I worry about how much she trusts these people. Maybe I worry too much.
We have a network at home and can see every site that she goes on and she does stick with avid gamers.
She's addicted to the internet. It's like watching a drug addict get his fix.
Can you recommend any books or even as silly as it sounds a support group like AA to get her off this drug of choice. Even when we take the computer away she seems to always be able to gain access somewhere.
Please anything you can recommend besides removing her from the computer. I just want her to understand she can't trust everybody. She's a really great kid and we have a close family and talk alot. She just seems to trust people on the web more than friends in person.

I am a concerned parent of a 15 y.o. girl and my state at this moment does not have any resourses to educate my child as to the dangers lurking on the computer. I have heard budget cuts, but nothing to the effect of protecting our children. I am looking for educational videos or testimonals from kids that would be helpful on our school system to educate not only my child but others as well. TRUST is a big word and I trusted my child, and I'm concerned that the other parents in this area Trust their kids also.

they makke me sick those jerks they have no right hurting are children like this, im not a father but im somebody's big brother and knowing this sick men are out there makes my skin crowl,and i would like to help the fight agains online predators.

I,mother of three girls under the age of eight, have watched all of the Dateline specials and to be honest, they scare the hell out of me, but I have to watch them. Simply for the sake of my babies!!! My kids are not able to search the net, but I am a stay at home mom who would like nothing better than to help put ALL of these MONSTERS away!!!!!!!!
What can my "mom friends" and I do to make this happen?

i would like to help in anyway i can if i can help get these's guys off the internet i want to help i have 4 children 12,10,8 an a 14month old i try my hardest to make sure there safe everyday an i would like to help make other children safe if i can. thank you
