Organised crime networks targetting the Internet

French and Russian cyber-crime experts have pledged to strengthen joint efforts to crackdown on organised crime networks targetting the Internet.

Investigators, police and representatives from big business, including the French Banking Federation, have spent the week in Moscow locked in talks with their opposite numbers to hammer out an agreement on fighting Internet fraud.

The head of the French delegation, Christian Aghroun, told AFP Thursday the purpose of the four day conference was to "personalise the increased cooperation" between the two countries.

The discussions centred on online fraud, but fighting child pornography networks was also on the agenda, he added.
