Florida lottery fraud

A sold out lottery game in Florida had some people trying to make a profit before the winning numbers were even called. The tickets, for the Holiday Millionaire Raffle, were showing up on eBay for a higher price than they were sold but it's against the law for anyone besides contracted retailers to sell the tickets.

State officials are warning that violators may face jail time.

They said the state also will not honor any winning ticket found to have been purchased illegally. Tickets can legally be sold only by retailers under contract with the state.

Some of the tickets, offered on eBay, have been pulled off the Web site after state officials notified the Internet auction company, said Lottery spokeswoman Leslie Steele.
