Two young men, aged 17 and 18 are currently being held at the Lagos detention facility of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on allegation that they swindled a Spanish national via the internet.

The suspects, Rilwan Adenuga (18) and Adeeso Yusuf (17) believed to have just left secondary school, having written the last Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) at the Gbaja Secondary School, Surulere are said to reside in the same neighbourhood at Ebute-Metta, Lagos.

Sunday Tribune learnt that their arrest on 22 August was informed by a petition from their victim, Mr. David Hernandez detailing his transaction with one Alex James. It was gathered that the victim had placed an advert on-line for the sale of two used computers, a message which Adeeso stumbled on and placed an order. In his order, Adeeso was said to have claimed to be a Briton with the name Alex James. He allegedly requested the victim to ship the said computers to Nigeria for assessment before he could make payment.
