I like to compare this material and these sites to alcohol. there is as much diversty in the content and quality of the material as there are kinds of alcohol. Sometimes it is high quality, other times it can be very bad.
If you only objective is to get drunk, then any type of alcohol will do- from an expensive fine wine to a cheap beer, all will do the job. Most people would not use a $100+ bottle of wine to get drunk because you cannot fully enjoy it while drunk. Likewise if all you want to do is masturbate, then any type of porn/erotica/erotic art will do. Porn is NOT the same as erotica or erotic art. Masturbating to erotic art is the same thing. You can do it, but why would you want to?
What does not work is making it totally illegal because it only drives the activity underground, as the US found out with Prohibition in the 1920s. Organized crime gets involved, and you can never be sure what you get is what you wanted. Child porn is and should be illegal. Teen erotica and erotic art is and should be legal. How do you determine what crosses the line from art to porn? There is no easy answer for that question. The intent of the photographer? How can that be determined? It can't, and even if it could it still wouldn't work. You can get drunk from cough syrup if you drink enough of it, but that isn't its intended purpose. You can use a knife to stab and kill another person, but that isn't the knife's intended purpose either. Anything can be used for something other than its intended purpose- or abused. KuatO if you think all of what LS produced was porn, you are wrong and close minded. LS was one of the best at what they did, and were clean and professional too.
I am not suggesting that cp should be made legal. What I am suggesting is that there should be a better way of making sure the teen erotic art stays legal and doesn't become cp. The vast majority If LS's work is high quality, erotic art- not porn. They did start to cross the line a few times in the past year. I am sure that this would not have happened if there had been the checks I am talking about.

I agree with BBMcRuff to some extent.
The internet has a huge impact. These sites tend to try to outdo each other over time. For example, showing preteen butterfly finger spreads happened in 2003 for a site called "Lolsonly" with the tag line "our lolitas are unpredictable", or something.
A big deterioration was the inclusion of quasi-lesbian behavior between two girls such as massage or kissing. LS got into this to some extent.
There are, or were, various preteen modeling and strip sites. These can escalate due to competition, especially masturbation, spreading, butterflies, lesbian play without overt sex.
Now, Orangebill is the largest billing company by far for these sites. Who are they, and what's to become of them?
The ultimate cost of getting this material is low if it's endlessly reposted on the usenet for free. So, what's the incentive for a new site? Harder stuff?
None of this is good for people like me who only want very soft, legal material of girl beauty.

I have been readin boards like these off and on now for several years. I think that how the Internet has played a role in this type of child pornography is mind boggling and isn't given the precedent it deserves.
I do feel like the blame is NOT entirely on the individual subscribing to these types of services. It is like any other means of addiction - if it can be obtained easily, then it's feeding someone's self addiction even though it is considered as "bad" or "immoral" by the general public.
These LS sites send emails to subscribers who have joined sites where the girls are a little older, definitely 18 years of age or older. From this point, you get email after email that would feed any addiction to young girls.
On top of this you have dozens of payment processors and ISPs, server/hosting companies, and the whole backend that have to put it all together. Yes, there is money in this business so someone will find a way to make it happen.
BUT the point is that since this type of pornography is created, managed, emailed, and quite frankly bombarded onto the individuals who have once subscribed to other sites (18yo gorls, etc.) like mentioned above, I feel that the recipients are victims instead of the cause of the problem.
There are many more points to be made here, but these are just a few...
Ideas welcome.

Why are boards so far underground and masked too look like some board about animals in nature? And why all the proxies, and why does everything you upload get deleted and reported to authorities? Well it sounds like its illegal to me (which it is in most places in the civilized world). I dont knock on doors, I kick them in.

Last week I got a spam email and clicked on it. I subscribed to LS-1 and it is indeed explicit at times. I haven't seen any of the content on the other LS sites so I can't comment on any of them.
While I admit freely that I joined the site, I wasn't looking for the kind of content they had. If I do get busted from their customer list, I will have to consider it a very hard lesson learned. That is my fear. I have never subscribed to any CP sites and have no pictures or videos containing CP.
This post was mostly to confirm that, yes, LS-1 indeed contains what I would consider to be pornography. Also, Orange Bill was the service I used to subscribe.
