NICEVILLE — America Online reported a man for sharing child porn on the Internet, Okaloosa County sheriff’s deputies say in his arrest report.

Michael Gaynes, 45, of 26th Street, was arrested last week on felony charges of possession of child pornography and transmission of child pornography, according to the Sheriffs’ Office.

He has since bonded out of the county jail, a jail officer said Tuesday. Gaynes is listed in his arrest report as a manager at the Sonic restaurant in Destin.

A Sonic employee said Tuesday night that he was no longer a manager there.

Sheriff’s investigators were alerted in January by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children after that agency heard from America Online that Gaynes’ screen name transmitted a video of a female child engaged in various sex acts, the report states.

Lawmen searched Gaynes’ home and seized his computer, which contained three images and several more videos containing child exploitation with adult men, according to the arrest report.

Filenames found in Gaynes’ user account “friendslookatdau” included a reference to a 12-year-old girl and “BabyJ,” according to the report.

Gaynes in March admitted to receiving the images and video from an unknown person on AOL, investigators said. He admitted to transmitting them as well, but could not remember where he sent them.
