Andiamo! Italian Judge Lifts Ban On Hacker Haven The Pirate Bay

A win for The Pirate Bay. Back in August, Italy tried to block access to the P2P tracker site from Italian ISPs. The pirates vowed to fight the block, using hacker tricks like switching IP addresses for thepiratebay.org to evade the ban. But that's no longer necessary: TorrentFreak reports the Court of Bergamo has lifted the ban, restoring Italian access to The Pirate Bay.

It's still unclear exactly how the court came to their decision, but in an earlier interview The Pirate Bay's lawyers said they intended to argue that Italy's courts lacked jurisdiction over the Sweden-based site.
