Stop Child Porn Authorities say he had sex with preteen, put pictures on Internet
A Peoria man faces up to 30 years in federal prison for allegedly taking pictures of himself having sex with a preteen girl and putting those pictures on the Internet.
Michael Hoevenarr Sr., 44, of 801 E. Fairoaks Ave. was charged this week by a criminal complaint in U.S. District Court in Peoria on charges of production of child pornography, distribution of child pornography and possession of child pornography.
His case has been bound over to a federal grand jury that sits in Peoria. Until then, he was ordered held in the custody of the U.S. marshals.
According to an affidavit filed Monday by Peoria police Detective James Feehan, Hoevenarr allegedly engaged in sexual conduct with the girl, who is now 15, from the time she was 7 until she was 12.
The affidavit states Hoevenarr then took photos. The girl’s brother then allegedly found a picture of his sister and Hoevenarr on the Internet while looking for an actress’ picture. The girl decided to tell a high school counselor last week what had happened, the affidavit states. Full story
