More than half of Britons claim to be unconcerned about fraud relating to internet banking, according to a new poll.

The research from Lloyds TSB showed that 51 per cent of respondents are not worried about the crime, with 48 per cent believing that the advantages of online banking outweigh the negatives.

About 90 per cent of consumers said they think they have carried out adequate measures to protect themselves against internet fraud, but just 20 per cent claimed they know everything about safety on the web.
