It may not be visible but even you should also be using such servers to find websites. Its called dns servers for name lookups.

Usually such servers are *secured* by an administrator.
The hacker needs root access to poison the dns cache, AFAIK.
Otherwise there might be some serious security risks with that particular dns server implementation.
I think a better solution would then be to run a
local dns server in our own machine :)
