Police detained school bus driver, child porn

State police have arrested a school bus driver on a child pornography charge.

Ricky Mulvaney, 37, of Williamstown, was charged Sunday with a felony count of promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child.

State police said Mulvaney was employed by the Altar-Parish-Williamstown School District in Parish. He was arrested for sending photographs containing child pornography over the Internet to a person in Rome, NY. Troopers said the criminal activity was not connected in any way to Mulvaney's driving the school bus.
