PONTE VEDRA, FL -- A man from Ponte Vedra is facing charges of traveling to have sex with a minor.

51-Year-old Paul John Mucci was arrested Sunday in Tallahassee.

According to agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement he was in the state capital to have sex with someone he thought was a 14 year old girl.

It turns out the girl was actually an undercover agent with the FDLE Computer Crime Center.

Investigators say Mucci was also pursuing an agent posing as a teen girl in St. Lucie County.

According to Sheriff's Deputies there he even booked a hotel room for later in the week.

More charges could stem from those chats.

Police say Mucci was chatting with five different undercover police posing as young girls.

FDLE says Mucci started chatting with them in mid-February.

In March, FDLE agents say he asked to meet the "girl".

Police say Mucci even did counter-surveillance on the area where they were to meet.

In recorded chats, police say Mucci told them about seeing undercover police at the location.

Weeks later, Mucci asked to meet the girl again. Police followed him from his Ponte Vedra Beach home Sunday morning to the Tallahasee area, where he was arrested.

Mucci is charged with two counts of traveling to meet a minor for sex and three counts of online enticement of a minor for sex acts.
