A critical flaw in Microsoft Windows

Software giant Microsoft has given advance warning that it is planning to release a patch for a critical flaw in Windows.

Vole is not saying what the problem might be, but it carries Microsoft’s critical warning so it will probably be pretty important.

The patch will be released on 13 September 2005 and Vole will be holding a webcast next week to address customer questions on these bulletins. The webcast will be held at TechNet on 14 September 11:00 AM (GMT-08:00) Pacific Time (US &Canada).

We wonder if there is much value in warning us that a patch is coming but not giving us a clue about what it might be for. Perhaps it is possible for management to cancel the network manager's holiday, if he has any around next week, but that is about it.
