A British hacker faces 15 years in prison after launching a denial-of-service (DoS) attack against two US companies.

Lee Graham Walker and German Axel Gembe have been charged with conspiracy and intentionally damaging a computer system. According to the FBI, the pair were part of a group headed by Jay Echouafni, owner of Orbit Communications Corporation.

The group employed Walker and Gembe to attack two of Orbit Communications' competitors with a worm that compromised a network of machines, flooding the sites with traffic and sending them offline, causing hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage.
