The Second e-Crime Congress, 24th and 25th February 2004

e-Crime Congress The National High Tech Crime Unit (UK) presents the second e-crime congress which will take place at the Victoria Park Plaza Hotel, London, on the 24th and 25th February 2004.

Similar themed events often fail to provide practical 'hands on' experience & thereby exclude valuable content that is applicable to those wishing to stay on top of the effects and methods employed by cyber criminals. Awareness and keeping abreast of developing trends and methodologies of cyber criminals is critical in order to secure the day-to-day running of business operations. The second e-crime congress seeks to provide and deliver opportunities to learn from, and importantly, to network with key individuals who are the most qualified to help.

Delivery: The e-crime congress will deliver thought leadership and all-important information through expert speakers (see below) in plenary sessions and a series of workshops that will involve delegates at the 'grass roots' level.

Practical Ideas: In order to maximise value for participants, the subjects will be based on true-to-life scenarios, allowing delegates to take away practical ideas that they can apply within their own organisation.

Interactive Workshops: Delegates will play a crucial role by participating in focused workshops, debating and developing recommendations. These will be discussed in the congress plenary sessions. The aim of these workshops is to provide an interactive arena for experts from business, government and law enforcement to meet, identify and explore the necessary steps needed to ensure that organisational policies and procedures are available and implemented to tackle the hi-tech crime threat.

Workshop 1: Hacking and Extortion
Workshop 2: Human Resources/Identity Theft and Fraud/Web site Spoofing
Workshop 3: Social Engineering and Industrial Espionage
