New forms of an information exchange and the organization of interaction in fight against transnational computer crime

December, 24, 2002 in addition to the working plan, Vladimir Golubev, director of the Computer Crime Research Center acted with the report "New forms of an information exchange and the organization of interaction in fight against transnational computer crime" at the information-analytical center on problems of organized crime fight at the Odessa National Law Academy which is supported by the Transnational Crime & Corruption Center (TraCCC) at the American University, Washington, DC

Computer crimes get the transnational, organized and group character. Such crimes have no borders, because of their committing with Internet use. The crimes can be committed against one state against another ones not leaving an apartment or office. The traces of the crimes contained in computer systems can be short-lived. It often enables the criminal to avoid punishment.

So, new forms of an information exchange, the organization of interaction in fight against transnational computer crimes, consolidation of law enforcement bodies, scientific-practical seminars and conferences with the purpose of association of scientists and experts of the different countries, is one of priorities on cybercrime fight.
